Negin and I embarked on a new project this week: bento boxes. Inspired by Vaclav Smil’s exhortation that we might all consider eating diets similar to the Japanese, we began looking for ways to shrink our portion sizes and shrink our consumption of red meat. This led, of course, to AnnatheRed, whose ubiquitous presence on Flickr is a joy to us all. Therefore, in honor of my sister’s birthday, her love for Hayao Miyazaki, and as a reminder to eat smaller portions, and less red meat, here are two photos from Anna the Red’s Bento Factory.
